Katie Lester
Katie Lester 80, of Hope, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 17,
2015 in Hope, Arkansas. Katie was born September 30, 1935 in Emmet,
Arkansas to Earl and Myrtle Smith Lester.
Katie was a member of Providence Memorial Baptist Church and a
member of AMVETS. She was retired from Wal-Mart where she had
worked as a sales clerk.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Earlene Jenkins.
She is survived by one son, Charles Lester and his wife, Joyce of Hope,
Arkansas; one sister, Brenda Haskins and her husband, Larry of Mountain
Home, Arkansas; grandchildren, Cheyenne Lester, Clayton and Elizabeth
Lester, Ashley Oller and Joseph Fortenberry, Lisa and Jose Ortiz, Jackie
and Clint Murry, Patrick and Amy Oller, Jennifer and Marquis Dugan;
thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 between the hours
of 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm at Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home.
Service will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the
chapel of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Rogers officiating.
