Polly Carrington - Polly Jo Compton Carrington, 52, of Tyler, Texas, native of
Hope, died Sunday.  Services will be at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday at Lloyd James
Funeral Home in Tyler.  Burial will be in a Tyler cemetery.  Mrs. Carrington was
born March 15, 1935 in Hope.  Survivors include her husband, Ralph Carrington
of Tyler; two daughters, Jennifer Carrington of Tyler and Josephine Elizabeth
Campos of Palestine, Texas; and her mother, Marie Compton of Hope.

Ralph Hardey Carrington, 71, of Tyler, Texas, died Friday, May 1, 2000.  Mr
Carrington was born October 19, 1928, in Prescott to Leon and Josephine
Carrington.  He was a textbook representative for Charles E. Merrill Publishing
Co.  He was in theU.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  Mr Carrington was a
member of Highland Presbyterian Church in Tyler.  He was preceded in death by
his wife, Polly Jo Carrington.  Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law,
Jennifer Ann Carrington of Tyler and Elizabeth and Julian Campos of Palestine,
Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Jo and R.C. Beaver of Little Rock; two
grandchildren, Joshua Carrington Campos of Palestine and Polly Jennifer Campos
of Palestine, nephews, Dr. William Hardey Beaver of Baton Rogue, La, and Joe
Beaver of San Francisco, Calif, three cousins, Jim Gordon of Sacramento, Calif,
Laura Jo Keaton of Camden and Teeny McKimmey of Texarkana.  Graveside
services were held Friday, May 5, at Cathedral in the Pines with Rev. Jim Ross
officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home of Tyler, Texas.  
Pallbearers were Robert (Bob) Bart, Gene Jeffers, Harold Laughlin, Alex Tapp,
James (Jim) Dudley and Robert (Bob) Herrington.
