Mr. Terriel C. Sparks, age 75, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Friday,
October 15, 2010, at St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas. He was
born in Hempstead County, Arkansas, on February 21, 1935, to Marion Clay
and Clara Jones Sparks. He was an auto parts salesman and a security guard.
He was a Charter Member of St. John United Methodist Church in Hope,
Arkansas and a life long member of the Methodist Church. He was preceded in
death by his parents and one brother, Denvil Paul Sparks.
His Survivors Include: His wife of 55 years, Mrs. Barbara Ann “Bobbie” Sparks,
Hope, Arkansas. Two Sons: Harold Sparks and Cathy, Bayfield, Colorado;
Darrell Sparks and Kathy, Hope, Arkansas. Two Daughters: Shari Sparks Smith
and Gary, Hope, Arkansas; Kari Sparks Serrano and Alex, Texarkana, Texas.
One Sister: Margaret Louise Sparks Skinner, Hope, Arkansas. Seven
Grandchildren: Dennis Sparks, John Sparks, Matthew Sparks, Trevor Smith,
Ashley Smith, Kelsi Brinkmeyer and Kelly Hardin. Six Great-Grandchildren, His
Beloved Pet “Izzie”, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at St.
John United Methodist Church in Hope, Arkansas, with Rev. Joe Miller
officiating. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery, Shover Springs, Arkansas.
